Removal of Chairman and members

(1) The Chairman and any member of the State Commission shall resign from his office only in the caseby order of the Presidentwill be removed whenhaving proven misconduct or incompetenceyes. The matter in this regard will be referred by the President to the Supreme Court for investigation. (1) If he has become insolvent

(2) If during his tenure in the Commission he has held any Government office of profit

(3) If he has become mentally or physically incapable of discharging his duties

(4) If he is mentally unsound and has been declared incompetent by a competent court.

(5) If he has been convicted of any offense and has been sentenced to imprisonment

Functions of State Human Rights Commission

(6) Study of international treaties and documents related to human rights and making recommendations for their effective implementation.

(7) To conduct and encourage research in the field of human rights.

(8) To spread information about human rights among the people and to make them aware of the measures available for their protection.

(9) To appreciate the efforts of NGOs working in the field of human rights.

(10) To do such necessary work which is necessary for promotion and promotion of human rights.
