Rajasthan Times(1885)

Publication of 'Rajasthan Times' and its Hindi version 'Rajasthan Patrika' started from Ajmer. These newspapers contributed well in awakening national consciousness among the public. As a result, after two years the British government banned the publication of both these newspapers. Its editor Bakshi Laxman Das was prosecuted and sentenced to one and a half years imprisonment.
