The road policy was declared by the state government in 1994.

For the development, operation, safety and regulation of highways and adjacent lands, the Rajasthan Highway Act 2014 was passed by the Legislative Assembly and implemented from 8 May 2015.

Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation

It was established on 1 October 1964. Its headquarters is in Jaipur.

Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation Ltd.

Established on 8 February 1979. Then its name was Rajasthan State Bridge Ltd. Was. On 19 February 2001, the name was changed to Rajasthan Road Development and Construction Corporation.

National Highway Development Project

The National Highway Development Project (NHDP) was started by the National Highway Authority of India in 1999-2000. Its financial assistance was provided by Central Road Fund, World Bank, Asian Bank and JBIC (Japan). The first phase of this project is known as the Golden Quadrilateral Plan. Phase II(1) of the project is known as the East-West Corridor. Phase II(2) of the project is known as North-South Corridor. In the third phase of the project, 4 lane highways were constructed and in the fourth phase, 2 lane highways were constructed.

In the fifth phase of this project, there is a plan to expand the roadway of the first phase (Golden Quadrilateral Scheme) from 4 to 6 lanes. There is a plan to construct an expressway under its sixth phase. Rajasthan's first six-lane express highway is Jaipur-Kishangarh. Under the seventh phase of this project, ring road, bypass flyover etc. are to be constructed.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana

Started on 25 December 2000, under this scheme, roads are being developed and constructed in rural areas in the state. From the year 2015-16, 60 percent of the funds in this scheme will be provided by the Central Government and 40 percent by the State Government. Earlier, 100 percent funds were provided by the Central Government.

Chief Minister Road Scheme

This scheme was launched on October 7, 2005. In this scheme, roads will be constructed to connect the main religious and tourist places and a model road will be constructed in every district.

Chetak Project

This is a project of Border Roads Organization (Established 1960, Headquarters New Delhi) to build border roads of strategic importance in the border areas of the country (Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Ganganagar, Barmer).

Missing Link Project

A scheme to complete many missing stretches of roads in the state was started in 2007-08.

Under the Green Road Scheme under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, state and district roads in the state will be widened and trees will be planted on the banks.

Rural Gaurav Path Scheme

Under this scheme started in 2014-15, .5 to 2 km at each Panchayat headquarters. The long road will be constructed in the form of 'Gramin Gaurav Path'.

Railways has been made a subject of the Union List in the Constitution of India. The responsibility of railway development lies with the Ministry of Railways under the Central Government.

The construction of railways in India started in 1850 during the tenure of the then Viceroy Lord Dalhousie. The first train in the country was run on 22 December 1851 to transport goods for construction work in Roorkee. Officially, on 16 April 1853, the country's first train ran from Bori Bunder (Mumbai) to Thana (33.81 km). This train was pulled by three locomotive engines Sahib, Sindh, and Sultan. This railway was established by the Great-Indian Peninsular Railway Company.

In 1925, on the recommendation of the Attonworth Committee, the railway budget was separated from the general budget. In 2017-18, the Railway Budget was again included in the General Budget.

The oldest running engine in the world is the Fairy Queen. Bharti's first electric train was 'Deccan Queen', which ran between Kalyan and Pune in 1929.

Indian Railways was nationalized in 1951.

At present there are a total of 73 railway divisions in India which work under 17 railway zones. Kolkata Metro received approval for establishment as the 17th railway zone on 29 December 2010. The 17th railway zone was created in Budget 2011-12. Its headquarters is in Kolkata.

South Coast Railway Zone

On 1 June, the new zone of Indian Railways, Southern Coast Railway Zone (SCoR), started functioning. This is the 18th zone of Railways. Its headquarters is in Visakhapatnam. SCoR has been carved out of the existing East Coast Railway and parts of South Central Railway. SCoR consists of 4 divisions- Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal. Railway armor technology

This is an anti-collision technology. It has been developed indigenously. It is SIL4 certified. This technology will help India achieve its goal of zero accidents. As soon as this technology detects another train in the same track within a certain distance, this technology will stop the train.

This technology uses micro processors, global positioning systems and radio communications. Anti-collision devices are installed in trains. These devices receive input from satellite. They communicate with each other via modem. They apply automatic brakes when they detect another train on the same track.

Railways in Rajasthan

The first railway (meter gauge line) in Rajasthan was run in April 1874 between Agra Fort to Bandikui in the state of Jaipur. A loco factory was established in Ajmer on 11 August 1879, in which the first loco engine was ready in 1895. Before independence, the princely states of Bikaner and Jodhpur first established their private railways.

As of 31 March 2017, the length of railways in Rajasthan is 5894 km. (According to Press Bureau Railway Ministry)

Trial run of double stacker train was conducted in the Western Freight Corridor. This train will run in Rewari-Mother station (Ajmer) of Rajasthan and Haryana. DFCIL (Dedicated Freight Corporation India Limited) is currently operating freight trains at a speed of 75 kilometers per hour. Under the Unigauge scheme launched by the Indian Railways in 1992, meter gauge railways in the state are being rapidly converted into barge gauge railways.

Initially there was meter gauge in Rajasthan.

Narrow Gauge - 86.76 km (distance between tracks .76 m.)

Narrow gauge is only in Dholpur.

Banswara district is not connected by rail line. Once the Dungarpur-Banswara-Ratlam rail line project is completed, it will be connected to the rail line.

**Dungarpur Banswara Ratlam Rail Line Project -**For the construction of this railway route, an MOU was signed between the Railway Board and the State Government in New Delhi on 31 May 2011. The foundation stone of this railway line was laid by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Banswara on 3 June 2011. Its total length is 176.4 km. Is. The Airports Authority of India was formed in 1995, managing 127 airports in the country including 15 international airports, 87 domestic airports and 25 civil aircraft terminals.

On 24 August 2007, public sector aviation companies Air India and Aircraft Corporation of India merged. Both the companies are now operating under the name of National Aviation Company of India Limited. The brand name of the company is Air India.

Air India is the flag carrier airline of India. Its symbol is the orange colored Konark Chakra in the flying swan. Its headquarters is in New Delhi and its corporate office is in Mumbai. Its mascot is Maharaja.

The first flying club of Rajasthan was started in 1929 by Maharaja Umed Singh of Jodhpur.

In July 1950, two air services were functioning in Rajasthan, one Air India which was providing its services on Mumbai Ahmedabad Jaipur Delhi route and the other Indian National Airways Company was providing its services to Jaipur and Jodhpur respectively on Delhi Jodhpur Karachi route.

Air transport was nationalized on 1 August 1953.

Airports Authority of India

It was formed on 1 April 1955 by merging the International Airports Authority of India and the National Airports Authority of India.

On 20 December 2006, Civil Aviation Corporation was established in Rajasthan.

To conduct civil aviation activities, Directorate of Civil Aircraft is established under the control of Civil Aviation Department in the state, which was formed on 1 April 2012. Earlier, Civil Aviation Corporation Limited was established in Rajasthan on 20 December 2006. Its purpose is to prepare proposals for commercial use of helicopters and aircraft available with the Government of Rajasthan.

Currently there are 10 main airports in Rajasthan.

1. Sanganer Airport, Jaipur

Air services to Dubai were started from Sanganer Airport on 7 February 2002. Sanganer airport was given the status of international airport by the Central Government on 29 December 2005 (notification February 2006).

2. Maharana Pratap Airport Dabok, Udaipur

Kishangarh airport has got the international code for operations. It has been named VIKG. International Civil Aviation Organization has given this code. The airport was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on October 11, 2017.

4. Kota Airport, Kota

5. Ratanada Airport, Jodhpur

It is both a civil and military airport and is operated by the Airports Authority of India and is shared with the Indian Air Force.

6. Jaisalmer Airport, Jaisalmer

It is operated by the Airports Authority of India from the air force base. The Airports Authority of India has built a new terminal here. Services here started from September 2017.

7. Nal Airport, Bikaner

It is operated by the Airports Authority of India from the air force base. This is an underground airport of the Air Force.

8. Phalodi Airport, Jodhpur

This is an Indian Air Force base.
